To our valued lodging industry partners:
On June 9, 2026, the Amador County Board of Supervisors approved an
amendment to the Amador County Tourism Marketing District (ACTMD)
Management District Plan to, in part, establish a Payment and Collection Policy
for the remittance of assessments levied under the ACTMD.
A copy of this new Payment and Collection Policy is attached target="_blank">HERE
ACTMD's collection agent HdL will be responsible for implementing this policy,
with an effective date of July 1, 2026. Unpaid assessments that became due
and payable prior to July 1, 2026 will not be subject to the penalties prescribed
in the Payment and Collection Policy, however, they remain due and payable.
Your ACTMD Board continues to encourage voluntary cooperation with the
collection and remittance of assessments pursuant to the Plan. Our Marketing
Committee carefully analyzes the best and most cost-effective methods of
promoting Amador County as a destination worthy of an overnight stay. Current
marketing efforts include radio, billboards, extensive use of social media, and
the VisitAmador.com website, among others. Your assessment dollars are
helping to bring more tourists than ever to the special place that is Amador
County.
Feel free to reach out to your ACTMD Board of Directors at
Hello@VisitAmador.com if you ever have any questions or comments.
George Eckert
Chair, Amador Council of Tourism
